Chris is the driving force behind PAVÉ. He started his professional career in 1994 and today brings his deep understanding FMCG along with strong business disciplines in strategy, process and technology.
As a management consultant for global consulting services firm Accenture, he worked on business transformation projects for clients in the financial services and telecommunications sectors in New Zealand, Australia and the US. Upon his return to New Zealand he worked for a private equity group where he developed an interest in the rapidly evolving FMCG sector. After concluding several acquisitions in grocery and hardware which he later sold, he turned his focus and expertise on building an advanced sales and distribution service tailored to the unique requirements of multinational FMCG companies. He called this business PAVÉ.
Nigel Uden
General Manager - Sales
Nigel is a highly experienced FMCG professional, having worked in both Australia and New Zealand for large and small multi-nationals, as well as high-growth companies.
He has held senior executive roles for respected blue-chip companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Bluebird Foods (Pepsico), Charlies Trading Company (Asahi), SC Johnson, Goodman Fielder and Nestle.
Nigel has an impressive track record across a wide range of categories and enjoys strong relationships at all levels in the trade.
Nigel passionately believes that superior outcomes can be delivered through the combination of a strong corporate operating discipline with the agility of a local and specialised partner.
Gerald Clarke
Chief Financial Officer & Board Memeber
Gerald bring 30 years financial management experience in FMCG having worked in senior finance roles for Griffins, Danone and Villa Maria.
At PAVÉ, he oversees the vital finance functions ensuring compliance with internal controls, delivery of board and internal management reporting and good corporate governance.
Gerald brings strong financial discipline and expertise to PAVÉ ensuring our clients’ businesses are managed prudently and that we adhere to the highest standards expected in a multi-national environment.
Richard Witton
Sales Director - Australia
Richard is one of the most well recognised professionals in the Australian grocery industry having spent his entire career working in FMCG sales roles.
He has worked in senior sales roles for major multi-nationals including Arnotts (Campbell’s Soup Company), Berri, H.J. Heinz as well as a high growth beverage company - Charlie’s Trading Company where he built the Australian business before it was eventually sold to the Asahi Group.
Richard has been instrumental in managing PAVÉ’s business in Australia for 5 years bringing exceptional retailer relationships and established a rock-solid platform for future expansion.
Mat Hamlin
Director - Marketing & Innovation
Mat has 15 years’ experience in FMCG. He has a successful background in senior marketing and sales roles, across a variety of food, beverage and non-food categories..
Prior to joining PAVÉ he worked on brands such as Gillette, Oral-B, Duracell, Ferrero, Kinder and Tic Tac. He also gained retailer experience working at Safeway Stores in the U.K.
Since joining PAVÉ, Mat has been instrumental in formulating the successful brand and product strategies for many of our clients. He leads marketing, category analysis and new product development across New Zealand and Australia.
Mat works closely with our clients to bring new products to market, assisting with product strategy, packaging development, marketing plans and execution.
Murray Johnston
Board Member
Murray has spent 40 years of his career as a retailer having worked in Australia and New Zealand in senior executive roles for Woolworths (Australia) and Progressive (New Zealand).
Murray has been involved with PAVÉ for 9 years, initially as a retail partner and upon his departure from Woolworths, as a board member.
Murray provides a valuable governance function in advising PAVÉ and its clients on category trends and competitor and retailer strategy.
